Proboscis Monkeys
&
Fireflies River Safari

Heading to the Southern part of Kota Kinabalu, a journey that takes approximately 2 hours drive. Enjoy the scenic view as you pass through paddy fields, oil palm plantation and native houses among others.

Upon arrival, light refreshment is served in the typical village house then on board for the 1½ hours boat cruise. With the bizarre-looking, Probiscis Monkeys gaining as much popularity with the tourists, the wetland with its large proboscis population is fast becoming the latest ecotourism destination in Sabah. These tree-dwelling animals normally hunt for food in the evening. Other riverside residents that may be spotted are macaques, monitor lizards, the rare Silver Leaf Monkeys, crocodiles, water buffaloes, tree snakes and birds.

Enjoy the breathtaking sunset along the river cruise and heading back to the jetty, a sumptuous dinner is served. Get a glimpse of the fireflies light up the bushes like Christmas trees (subject to weather condition).
